top Overview

“A wise man will make more opportunities than he finds.”
Francis Bacon

While business acumen is largely acquired in the workplace, marketplace and on the street, this 2-day course will accelerate your learning and give you ways to increase your acumen faster.

Acumen is sharpness of mind and perception.
It enables people to make good judgements and decisions and it gives them the leverage to influence people and events. It affords them the insight to read people and situations, create new ideas and identify and match them with opportunities.

Successful business leaders possess acumen, some of which may be inherent, but most have acquired their wisdom through a combination of personal experience, practical learning and the help and advice of others.

They are aware that business models can be constructed but are of little use unless correctly deployed to create profit and value and achieve worthwhile goals.

The study of business does not equip someone for the every day realities, the ‘ups and downs and ins and outs’ of daily business life. The skills to deal with those are largely acquired through a process of ‘self learning.’

While this Short Course cannot give you acumen, it can make acquiring it easier.
