- Exploring the three "ego states": Parent, Adult and Child
- Examining the key elements required for building cultures of ‘responsibility’ rather than 'blame'
- Assessing how assertive you actually are!
- Listing key steps for asserting your voice
- Practicing these steps in a variety of different situations to gain confidence in using them:
- A friend wants to borrow something
- Your boss overloads you
- You are under-confident in meetings
- A customer is attacking you personally
- Exploring ways of giving and receiving feedback to get your message across clearly
- Giving and accepting compliments so as to enhance relationships
- Identifying ways for giving and responding to criticism
- Constructing your own Bill of Assertive Rights
